One of the most spectacular whale watching sites is at the Head of Bight. Journey to the iconic Nullarbor and visit the Head of Bight Interpretive Centre and the most significant calving and nursery ground for Southern Right Whales in the world. Whales migrate to the region between May and October every year to mate, give birth and raise their young. At the height of the season over 100 whales can be spotted in the waters of the Great Australian Bight Marine Park at any one time. Follow a cliff-top boardwalk to viewing platforms where these gentle 80-tonne giants of the sea can be seen cavorting in the waters below.
